I was thinking that my first two should be Illusion and Divination >Which implement schools do you guys recommend as well. Also, there are plenty of good divination spells, but I suppose that's more a matter of taste. Most levels don't even have two good divination spells. When you gain a Focus Power, you choose one Focus Power from one of your schools.Īlso, having to take the Divination implement school twice for detect magic and read magic is rough.
Does the Occultist learn one focus power from all her implement schools every other level? >I'm a little unsure how the Occultist's Focus Powers work. She got her own backstory where she was run out of town right after me, whoring not being the most popular of professions in the town anyway. Instead it turns out my doxy has been following me around making my life miserable and gaining class levels to become a reoccurring villain. I thought it was just dm keeping us moving, not wanting us to put down roots. My favorite workin was whenever we would leave a town on a quest and come back the townsfolk would be hostile, and shoo us out of town with less of a reward unless we really fight for it. The first work in has us going through the corpse of a town, and I realize it was the one I got ran out of, investigation shows it was destroyed basically the day after I left, we even run a sidquest and take out the vampire. The campaign has us working against rail barons in a wild west feeling campaign, spell slingers taking the place of gunslingers.
